In continuation of the partnership relationship with Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie

National Beverage Company and Candia organize a Recruitment Day Event

Ramallah – Al Haya Economic - The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products organized the activities of the Recruitment Day for 300 male and female students from various disciplines at Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie, Tulkarm branch.

In continuation of NBC relationship of partnership with the University, the event was organized in the presence of Mr. Rami Afaneh, Human Resources Manager of NBC, Dr. Makram Abbas, Dean of the College of Integrative Education, and a number of the faculty staff, and members of the Public Relations and Media Unit, and Student Affairs.

In this context, Mr. Rami Afaneh, Human Resources Manager at NBC said in his speech during the event, “according to our vision and strategy to enhance the role of youth and empower them, we, in the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola / Cappy and Al-Tayf Dairy and Food Products, are keen to participate in all events that would invest in the capabilities of our youth and refine their skills.”  He stressed the importance of the Recruitment Day (Job Fair) in bringing students and companies together, which contributes to providing real job opportunities for students as well as training them to conduct successful job interviews.

" NBC has worked since its inception to support the educational sector, believing that it is the most important sector that bears direct repercussions on the future of youth and drives the employment wheel, which in turn is reflected in the state of the national economy," Mr. Afaneh added.

Mr. Afaneh commended the efforts of Palestine Technical University Kadoorie, thanking its excellence and its quest to work creatively in graduating students who are able to go on their own through their projects or unique specializations that are able to find a place for them in the labor market.

                              

On her part, the Dean of the College of Integrative Education, Dr. Makram Abbas stressed the importance of this special day, which has become an annual tradition that the University is committed to mark, given its important role in providing university students with the required skills and providing the necessary tools to ensure their productive involvement in the market, adding, “At Kadoorie Palestine Technical University, we seek to reduce the gaps between educational outcomes and the labor market, where we have 85 real partnerships in the labor market, and we strive to reach the 100”, Abbas praised the efforts of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and Al Tayf Dairy and Food Products Company (Candia) and their permanent support for the youth and the education sector, looking forward to continuing the partnership with them to provide an incubator and support for young talents.

Sujud Youssef, a graduate of Palestine Technical University Kadoorie said, “This day is very important and useful for us as graduates, especially in our current situation in light of the high unemployment rates among young people.” In the same context, the student, Sajida Qawza said, “Such events are a great opportunity to highlight our specializations and our skills, especially in light of the presence of many options for jobs offered on this special day.”

NBC signed an agreement with Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie to attract students of the College of Integrative Education within the Company’s staff at the Cappy Factory and Al Tayf Factory for Dairy and Food Products (Candia) to train them during their study period, as part of its social responsibility to support the educational sector in the Palestinian market with strong youth cadres and energies capable of promoting the Palestinian economy.
